JULY 2013

It's a lot easier to buy a table and rent space at a trade show than it is to convince a brand like Williams Sonoma, Inc. to have your presence in their store... for free.  It takes a special something to negotiate a space at West Elm (Williams Sonoma, Inc.) to speak to the community about your service offerings, vision, team and brand at no cost. Meet the Pink Ponies team, founder and network on July 20, 2013 at West Elm in Santa Monica. RSVP today. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) is once again throwing the festive holiday edition of the celebrated Global Bazaar – a shopping extravaganza filled with tremendous works by wonderful and talented people from our own neighborhoods and the world over. Hosted in the museum courtyard, and with the provisions of both refreshments and music at no cost to the patron, Global Bazaar is the perfect place to shop, mingle, and admire handcrafted and fairly traded goods.

CAFAM’s shop has long been admired and awarded as one of LA’s best shopping destinations for its unique and diverse selection of masterfully crafted jewelry, home wares, clothing, and much more. Global Bazaar invites people who already know about the shop’s incredible selection and new friends to come and interact with many of the artists and global importers who make CAFAM’s shop so special. Hear their stories, see their craft, and start holiday shopping at Global Bazaar, aptly timed for the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Fair Trade LA will be there as well as SEAsTra, with beautiful Fair Trade jewelry, scarves and purses from Thailand.

CAFAM champions cultural understanding by encouraging curiosity about our diverse world through the universal lens of art. Our exhibits and programs serve as a catalyst for the exploration of art and ideas that reflect our ever-changing community. In a shrinking world, CAFAM believes in building common ground. As the twenty-first century brings global cultures ever closer together, we often find ourselves traveling in unfamiliar lands. This mapless new landscape requires inter-cultural fluency and frequent trips to CAFAM.

We're interested in forming relationships with select organizations whose vision parallels our mission to inspire success in Gen-Y female professionals and would benefit from collaborating with our community.

If you're interested in aligning your brand with Pretty Pink Ponies, please schedule an appointment on our calendar here

We welcome sponsors for ongoing creative workshops for a general audience. In addition, please let us know if you're interested in donating your time and/or services to help foster professional and business development, creativity, entrepreneurism and collaboration in young professional women.

Team Forum topics:

We recognize collaborative acts by teammates with "props" on our blog followed by in-depth store critiques by anonymous shoppers (non-Etsy related) that fit their target market.

We calculate points based on your participation on our Etsy team forum as well as other criteria.

Please don't feel pressured to attend any of the events we present to you.

Opportunities to contribute and participate on our team will be here when your schedule allows. We're not going anywhere and the opportunities to collaborate on projects will only continue to grow.

That said, if you do commit to an event or helping host a workshop etc., your attendance is -- obviously -- expected. Till then, no sweat. Do communicate once in a while and keep us posted on what you're up to.

Let us know what we can do to help you. This team is about helping you, afterall. It's about pushing you to make the right decisions for yourself and become more effective so you can spend more time with friends while also making friends and partners with other professionals on our team.

I see how we may come across as aggressive, but it's only to push everyone to reach a higher level of effectiveness and professionalism.

We know you can accomplish what you set out to do with a bit of focus. And, even the most successful among us can benefit from others' feedback and suggestions on ways to improve.

Other than that, we don't expect anything from you. You've demonstrated respect and goodwill and that's very much appreciated.

Let us know what we can do to help you, ok?

All the best,
Meg + 3P
