Mad Props!!!

We recognize the selfless acts of teammates who make valuable contributions to our team of local and independent entrepreneurs.

This week, we implemented "Mad Props" to  recognize their acts of goodwill. Each week, these members will be listed with a link to their online shops at the top left-hand column of our blog. *Props are based on a point-system calculated at the end of each week.

Business Plan Time

Ok my little Ponies, down to business. Literally.

Tonight we're talking about business plans. Why have one? Because businesses without a plan, fail. Simple as that. Here's my business plan. It's not the greatest, or complete, but it's a start. And if I can write one up, you can too!

This is kind of out of date, but we'll work together to get it up to speed. I wrote this for my Business 101 course, so it's pretty old school, and I can't find the last part of it. Ultimately, I'd love to make a more modernized version. PLEASE feel free to comment, make edits, point out areas that need improvement, etc.

Here we go!

MyBohemianSummer from MyBohemianSummer saysHighlighted Post

The biggest thing that I have learned so far in the hand made business is to not take it personal. This is very hard for me, and for a lot of artists and crafters that I know, because what we do is personal. This is from an article that I read a couple of months ago, and I keep it handy to refresh myself when it is needed. Like a good swift kick in the pants. (christinekane.com/how-to-not-take-things-personally-a-practical-guide) Here are some tips that I love passing on since it is so relevant to us and what we do:

Team Feedback (survey results)

We took the most popular feedback gathered during one on one conversations with a team of collaborative entrepreneurs this May and posted them below.

We appreciate the cooperation we receive from our network -- a group of young, creative talented leaders.

If you have any additional feedback, please do share!
